The Memon community in Europe is primarily spread across four key locations: Leicester, London, Dundee (Scotland), and Lisbon (Portugal). The WMO’s registered UK office is based in London, approximately 100 miles south of Leicester. Most European Memons trace their roots back to Africa, particularly Malawi, before settling in various parts of the continent. While the community continues to grow, it remains relatively small compared to other regions. This makes it even more crucial for the Europe Chapter to maintain strong connections—both within Europe and globally—to preserve the Memon heritage, values, and unique identity.
Active Community Centers
Two main hubs drive community engagement:
These centers host year-round activities, including religious and cultural events, as well as charitable initiatives to support community members.
Engaging Activities
The UK organizations organize diverse events, such as:
These gatherings provide a healthy environment for all ages to connect, exchange ideas, and address everyday challenges.
Youth Wing Initiatives
The Europe Youth Wing was established to:
One standout project is “Memoni Bolo”—a language initiative under the International Youth Wing. Through live chat sessions, participants with limited or intermediate Memoni skills can practice and improve their fluency. This program has gained popularity, especially in an era where native languages are often overshadowed.
Our Commitment
The Europe Chapter recognizes its vital role in strengthening the Memon community—both regionally and globally. Through unity, preservation, and progress, we strive to Unite, Uphold, and Uplift Memons across Europe.
We invite all Memons in Europe to become members, participate actively, and join hands in our journey of unity, progress, and humanitarian service.
