In today’s “global village,” maintaining a strong connection to one’s community and heritage is rare. Yet, the Memon community worldwide has set an inspiring example by preserving its traditions and values, fostering a sense of brotherhood that benefits both Memons and non-Memons alike.

This vision of unity led to the creation of the World Memon Organisation (WMO), bringing Memons across the globe under one umbrella.

The Far East Chapter has embraced this mission wholeheartedly, uniting Memons from all walks of life to collaborate and progress as a stronger society. Known for their warmth and hospitality—a hallmark of their Sri Lankan roots—the Far East Chapter has earned admiration from other WMO chapters worldwide.

From hosting Annual General Meetings (AGMs) to organizing the groundbreaking Memon Premier League, the Far East Chapter has set the gold standard for world-class events and community engagement.

Grassroots Initiatives

The chapter has spearheaded numerous projects at the grassroots level, including:

• Youth Wing: Leadership training programs to empower the next generation.
• Sports Events: Bringing the community together through friendly competitions and networking opportunities.
• Ladies Wing: Collaborative programs focused on women’s development and engagement.
