The Memon Industrial and Technical Institute (MITI): Empowering Youth Through Skills and Education

Founded on May 31st, 2009, in Karachi, Pakistan, the Memon Industrial and Technical Institute (MITI) was established under the World Memon Organisation (WMO) as a pioneering vocational and technical training center. With a mission to uplift underprivileged youth through skill development, MITI offers a diverse range of courses, including technical trades, IT, multimedia, and home economics, equipping students with practical expertise for today’s job market.

As a flagship initiative of the WMO’s humanitarian efforts, MITI has become a beacon of hope for thousands, providing fully or partially funded scholarships to hundreds of deserving students annually. This ensures that financial constraints do not hinder access to quality education. Over the years, MITI has produced more than 100,000 graduates, most of whom have secured stable employment or successfully started their own businesses, contributing to economic growth and poverty reduction.

Beyond technical training, MITI fosters self-reliance, entrepreneurship, and social mobility, aligning with the WMO’s broader vision of community development.
